A sculpture by Erman Gonzalez titled "Casa Viajante: Cafe Y Sapatos". Erman Gonzalez, an accomplished Cuban born artist, migrated to the U.S. in his childhood (13) as a result of the rise of Castro. The impact of this migration, cultural adjustment and identity crisis are strong influences on Mr. Gonzalez's creation. Dr. Maria de Jesus Cordero (PhD Utah State University) published an essay on this installation including many of these pieces that are catalogued and have been through various museums. The theme of uprooted culture and migration are vary apparent from these mixed media sculptures high art indeed!
